Based on the popular game GeoGuessr, GeoTest allows you to explore the world with a fun and challenging game. You will be given a 360 degree panorama of a location, but where on Earth is the location? Guess by dropping a pin on the world map. The closer your guess is to the actual location, the more points you get. Play against friends using Game Center leaderboards.
The rules are simple. View the 360 degree location by tapping the screen and dragging your finger to rotate the view. You can look around for landmarks, writing, or other hints to help you guess the location. Then toggle over to the world map by tapping the map on the corner of the screen. Touch on the map where you want to guess the location. Two pins will drop, revealing the actual location in comparison to your guess. You will be given the actual distance between the location and your guess. The closer your guess is to the actual location, the more points you score.
There are predetermined locations (currently 40) which are worth 5000 points minus the number of miles your guess is off by. Once you have guessed all predetermined locations, you will be given random locations. These locations will be worth 500 points minus the number of miles you are off by. Be sure to update GeoTest frequently so that you can play new predetermined locations and get a higher total score. Your total score between all predetermined and random location will be your score that is sent to Game Center for you to compare with friends and other worldwide players.
GeoTest requires an internet connection to play, as it is pulling data from a web view. You can use Wi-Fi, 3G, 4G, etc.
If GeoTest is crashing while trying to load a map, try restarting your device. There is a bug with the web view that we are currently trying to work out, but this is a good workaround for now.
